Holy cow, Rich! Those are some serious miles. And I mean SERIOUS! I haven't seen anyone on any team yet crank out those kind of miles in one week. You're going to put us all to shame. :) Great job!

Craig--hope you're enjoying Paris. Be careful if you decide to do those runs through the streets in a foreign country. We'd better not see any headlines about you on CNN. :scared1:

Have a great day, team!

Steve

May 8 - May 14:
Miles: 22.41; Hours: 7.75

Getting back on the wagon and ramping up the miles this week, so hopefully my numbers will bump up to the normal levels.

RICH: Welcome! Awesome to have you on the team, especially considering your mileage. Wow! And congrats on an awesome 1/2 marathon time! :thumbsup2

Howard:  Great to have you with use!!!!

Kathy: Nice numbers!!!

Scott: You are a machine!

Steve: You too LOL!

Liz:

Martha: Great job getting some cycling in :). Hope you had a nice run!

You guys are all making me look bad! Everyones' numbers are fantastic! I hope to contribute more in the coming weeks!!!

Rich - holy cow!! And Welcome to the team!!

Howard - Welcome to you too!!

Craig - hope your Paris run didn't get you into any trouble this morning.

Amy - thanks...I really need that today.....

Everyone has been doing great!

As for me, well the only miles I've got are the ones before my toe clips tried to kill me.

May 15-21
Miles 4.3
Time 60 min (includes some core time)

Would like to say next week will be better but am really afraid of over doing it too soon and taking myself out for even longer. I've got several local events I want to do in June/July so have to get healthy first.

Hi Team,

My numbers for May 15-21:

miles: 19.3
hours: 4.1

I'm working my way through my 10k plan, and this week I did my first 5 mile run. So far, so good. Got my new Garmin (205), and have played around with it some, but haven't actually run with it yet. (most of my running is on the treadmill)

Welcome to our new team members :dance3: :dance3:

I have a couple of questions do we post are miles here and they get entered not to get greedy but does walking count DW and kids are walking nightly for WDW.. Also is there a spot for us to check are teams stats. Thanks just became addicted and can't stop running. My DW calls me Forrest says I run no matter what. I run outside year round don't like treadmills.

Hello Everyone, it turns out I do need some help. I find I am unable to insert rows from my locale, so I cannot add Rich and Howard to our group.

Could someone with the power please insert lines for :

ryley26 and
KeenHo

In the May sheet. If you would add them just below me then the sum function at the bottom will pick up their miles. And if you'd like to add them for June to December, heck, I wouldn't mind one little bit :teeth: .

Rich, the score is kept by week and month. Right now we are filling in the week of May 15 through 21. Then we'll pick the entire remainder, May 22 through 31. Then we begin again June 1 through 7. All you need to report is your total miles (run, bike, walk), and hours (in decimal form, it makes life easier for me) for each reporting period. So if you could give us your May 15 through 21 data, and then May 22 through 31, and so on.

I put a report up on the weekly board about my early am run today through Paris. The architecture, layout, and monuments are even more stunning when you are moving quickly enough to continually see things in a different light. The roads are super hard, however, cobble and bricks in many cases, so I did all I could to stay on dirt when possible.

This afternoon I went up to Le Bourget Airport, where they have the national air and space museum. I'm really an airplane guy, and they had an amazing collection of aircraft from 1906-1920. I knew the french were very big on aviation in its infancy, as many of the terms used today came from that period, but their stuff was fantastic. Think about the planes in "Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines," and they were there. Plus a Sopwith Camel, a Spad, a Foker Albetross, and a DeHavilland. Man I must have walked 5 miles today between getting to the Museum, and seeing it all.

Plus they had a military DC-3, a C-47 Dakota, and you could climb into it. Sitting there in the seats of the 24 paratrooper stick in a plane that dropped the 82nd or 101st on D-Day was humbling.

Steve

For the 2nd day in my 2-day stay, I bumbed into a huge police presence. I believe yesterday was some type of protest march, as they had the gendarmes with shields blocking many streets, and about 20 paddy wagons (or whatever they call them here) right behind each road block. Today I have no ideas what is was, but the gendarmes closed off an important street and had those police wagons all over. I will be careful, trust me. I know if the police call my wife to bail me out of the Bastille, her response will be, "honest officer, I never saw that man before in my life."

Liz

I saw you are feeling a bit better. Please take it easy and come back healthy, vs. come back injured and hurt yourself worse.

Best
Craig

Craig

I'll get this fixed for you tonight, Craig :)

Wow the milage I'm seeing awesome. I'm thinking I need to keep up Skfulkers, Amybeth and Scott great milage. Rich

I feel flattered that I got that comment from another guy. ;)

Rich--just to let you know, that's not my usual weekly mileage. I need to be honest and say that I was fortunate to get a lot of biking in this week. Scott and Amy are the crazy ones that we all need to "try" to keep up with. Amy usually nonchalantly cranks out, oh say 35 hours of cardio in a given week. I have no idea how the girl does it. :confused3

Craig--I know we'll have to confirm with WW Dave, but I would assume any running that involves being chased by French police with shields should count at least as double mileage. Triple if they pull out the billy clubs.

Steve

Steve you ever run the Columbus Marathon thinking of maybe running the Half in the Fall. Cincy have a Half I'm looking for new interesting places to run races that are somewhat close.

I am SO pathetic next to you guys! Rich--amazing numbers. :worship:

May 16-22
3.5 hours
11 miles

See? Pathetic.

I'll just slink back into my couch now.

No such thing as pathetic anytime your trying to better yourself and be healthy is to commended. I started running a mile three times a week and now its turned in an obsession.

Rich--I've never run the Columbus Half or Full. I trained for it last year and ended up getting injured on my 18 miler 4 weeks out from the marathon. So I missed it. I was considering running it this year, but I ended up signing up for Marine Corps in DC, which is a week after Columbus. I've heard good things about the Columbus marathon, though. I hear it's a flat course, so that always helps. A lot of Boston qualifiers from that race (not that I'll EVER have to worry about being that fast!).

Cincy does have a half/full marathon. A pretty good one, actually. It's called the Flying Pig Marathon. It was May 4 this year (it's always the first weekend in May). I have to say that even considering Disney, the Flying Pig is still my favorite marathon to run. Great crowd support and the city really gets behind it. Maybe I'm biased because I'm from here, but I'm pretty proud of the way Cincy pulls this one off. If you can plan this one into your schedule next year, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be disappointed with the race.

Martha--you? Pathetic? Please! Don't make Krista come up there and knock you around (actually, I wouldn't put it past the pregnant lady. She's scary sometimes. :) ).

Steve

Thanks Steve I'll seriously consider Cincy DW says if I'm going to run all these races lets go on a road trip.:lmao:
