I vote for the Buzz name purely based on that cool logo!
Ok, I can't find a decent picture, but I am going to do my intro. "pictureless".
My name is Sandi, although I have the nickname of Allie on these boards. I belong to a "chat" thread on the WISH board called the Disappearing Peeps. Well there is another DISer named Sandy321 (and she is in this competition too), so to keep us straight I adopted the nickname of Allie. Feel free to call me either one.
I am 39, and am a SAHM. I have been married to DH for almost 19 years. I work part time at my church's preschool. I work 4 hours a day, 3 days a week. I am a helper, so basically I help take the kids potty, help put crafts together, help when we put on parties, and basically whatever the director decides I need to do.

I love it! I volunteer at my kid's school. I have a 14 yo (almost 15

) son, and a 9 1/2 you daughter. She ran (actually we walked) the 5K with me this year. I did a "girls only" trip in honor of my 40th birthday. We had a great time!
Hey Anne do you have any pictures of me and my daughter from the 5K? (maybe I'll get a picture after all)
Anyway, I started running in August of last year. I used the Couch to 5K running plan. Well, I ran my first 5K two weeks after starting training. I ran it with a good friend of mine from church. Well, she made me run about 80% of it. I did it in 38 minutes! It about killed me! I have given birth without drugs, and that race was so much harder!

It planted a seed though. I wanted MORE! Well, I convinced my DH to let me and DD do the 5K in Disney, and have a little trip to go with it. I ran another Halloween 5K with DD for our training, and we did well. Although, I took my son to a Halloween party that night, and in a freak accident, his 300 lb. former hockey coach, fell on my knee!

I was out of training for a while. Went to the Ortho. dr. and he said everything was fine, but I did have some arthritis in that knee. Well, I finally broke down and went to the running shoe store the Friday before the race and bought me some shiney new Asics Gel Kayano's!

They are fabulous! They did their job! My DD and I finished the 5K in 58:30!
I am really new to the WISH board. I went to the Pop WISH meet, and met a lot of folks. (and I can't remember most of their names, sorry

) I do remember Anne though! She was so sweet to share her goodies with me and my daughter.
Oh, and I talk a lot, can ya' tell? And I also love the little smilies.

I just hate the 25 limit!

I am so excited to be a part of this team. The one thing I found out is that this group is very welcoming!

I need this to keep me going in my running journey. I never thought I would be a runner, because any time I tried in the past I got so winded, but with the C25K program, I am determined to move on to bigger and better things! (ok, now that was a run-on sentence

)
Let's go Buzz's Brigade! To Infinity and Beyond!
