Teachers who love Disney

Like so many other's who have posted I am a pre-school teacher ( 2 year olds) who Loves Disney. I use the 7 dwarfs to see what kind of mood the children are for the day, Bashful, grumpy, sleepy, happy or my favorite the teacher is either sleepy or dopey. We to have the "Mickey " pointer and use the homedepot paint cards for calendar pieces. I am almost always waring some form of disney gear . Just got back from WDW the other day with more to share with the class. I always play my Disney Music and the kids ask for MICKEY MOUSE all the time. And yes, I have OCDD ( obsessive complusive dsiney disorder) I ear there is a 12 step program for this condition.
Long live the Disney teacher!!:wizard:

I am a Disney teacher too. I wear Disney gear to school. Put Disney pins on my school lanyard according to the season. When I return from a Disney trip, show my Disney photos to the kids. I buy Disney pencils, markers, and other Disney related things to give as prizes. There's a dolllar store close to Disneyland that has many of these things and I always try to stop there on each trip.

Another thing you can do with the Home depot mickeys is use them to assign groups. Place them face down and whoever had matching color heads are now in the same group. Also, doesn't Disney city hall give away freebies if you ask for them for your classroom?:teacher:

I read on the DVC disboards that some teachers have their students write friendly letters to Mickey and that Disney actually sends a response. The kids would love that! Since letter writing is a 2nd grade standard, I had to do this acitivity and I asked them for the address. Here it is:

Disneyland
c/o Guest Services
P.O. Box 3232
Anaheim, CA 92803-3232

We don't have tons of time for me to incorporate my Disney, but I try. I teach Spanish, and sometimes I'll show a clip of a Disney movie in Spanish that uses a specific piece of grammar, vocab, etc. The students are usually familiar with the story and dialogue, and it seems easier to hear it in Spanish that way.

Hey, I teach Spanish as well:) I do not incorporate any Disney in my teaching, other than using Mickey Mouse (and various other characters) as a subject when talking about people in Spanish.
