My mother-in-law is an educator and is going on our upcoming WDW trip w/us. Can we put the hotel reservation at the Swan in her name in order to get the special "teacher's rate"? What ID is required?

Does she have an ID from the school? Either that or her paystub should be enough proof.

yes she can book up to 3 rooms at this rate in her name as long as she is there.

I booked this and I was told that I needed to bring a copy of my teaching certificate. I asked about pay stub and they said no--a copy of the certificate.

May be able to do otherwise, but that is what I was told.

~~~~note to self: remember to make that copy!~~~~
My wife was allowed to use her name tag from school as id. I do caution that the teacher discount often places you in the no view or bad view rooms. We were stuck near the laundry area and had a view of the 2nd floor roof in the Swan. We decided we would never go back to the Swan. They were not very concerned about the noise we experienced mainly because we were getting the lower rate.
Wow, I hope that is not the attitude of the Dolphin. However, I have noticed that many hotels place their rooms with ADA accommodations in areas without good views. I am hoping for a comp upgrade to club, though--may not get it, but it doesn't hurt to ask!
How much is the teacher discount?
My sister is a teacher and she's going with us!!!
