Hello!
Hopefully, I can get some help here.
Well, I am an elementary education major currenting finishing my junior year. I am taking several courses, but one in particular is entitled, "ESOL Issues." As part of that class is service learning house - 1.5 per week, working with ELLs (English Language Learners.) I will be starting this thursday from 8:30 to 10:00 and for our first day we will basically have to introduce ourselves.
I have been placed with two children who are currently in kindergarten. After talking with their teacher, she has instructed and encouraged me to work with sight words over the course of the upcoming weeks.
My question is, what is a fun and simple way to introduce ourselves? I was thinking of some type of game. Perhaps, members who are already teachers may come to my rescue here. I will be pulling them out of class for one and a half hours, therefore, I need enough to keep them busy.
Any ideas?

I loved teaching ESL. Now I teach special education and yes, I also love that, but the fun thing about ESL is that the kids realy want to learn English.
