Teacher's Birthday Party - Help please! (little OT)

As a new room mom to dd's PS class (3 & 4 yr olds) I am trying to think of some really great things to do for the teacher's birthday party. We are to have a party for Harvest (fall), Christmas, Valentine's, Easter, and the teacher's birthday. This is new to me, and I have no idea what to do. We do have a decent size buget left, and I was thinking of having a pizza party for the kids (would the teacher like that too?) with b'day cake of course, and a crown for the teacher, etc. What do people do during that type of party other than eat? It would be about an hour long party. I really want it to be special as her teacher is fantastic, and always goes out of her way to do special things for the kids. Any ideas?

I think pizza and cake sounds just right, and I like the crown, too - DS's preschool teacher always made them for the kids. It would be cute.

Are the kids ever together without the teacher? If so, you could have them practice a special song to all sing for her. Maybe change something like "You are my sunshine" a little -

You are our sunshine,
Our preschool sunshine.
You make us happy
When skies are grey,
We hope you know, Miss,
How much we love you.
Please enjoy your birthday today!


If that isn't possible, you could send a slip of paper to each parent, and have them ask the kids what they like best about their teacher and fill it in. Collect the slips and put them in a jar or decorated box or something. Read them aloud at the party, and then give them to her to keep.

Or something will all the kids pictures is always cute.

And you mentioned a decent budget. - If your florist will wrap them (to avoid thorns) they could each walk up one at a time and give her individual roses. I expect there would be a very high "awwww" factor there.
