I don't know what to get DD's teacher as a gift. She is young, a HUGE Disney freak (you think this would be easy for me lol), and has tons of patience. I think she has only been teaching for a few years and she has the little ones.
Suggestions? Thanks!

I am a teacher, and while I never expect anything....the gifts I love to receive the most are gift cards - especially to book stores - that way I can get books (sometimes I treat myself) but most of the time I get more books for the class, or special hardbacks that are more expensive and just came out that the students really want to read.

But gift cards to anywhere are greatly appreciated!!!

Preschool teacher here...gift cards are my favorite. Gift cards to ANYWHERE! Panera, Starbucks, Dunkins, Target, Kohl's, Barnes and Noble, etc. :thumbsup2

I also love home made goodies from people who are skilled! ;) We have some parents who can BAKE....like, REALLY BAKE!! I love that, because I rarely have time to make many of my own treats for Christmas.

One thing I will say, is no mugs, candles, ornaments, or body lotion. All are nice thoughts, but teachers have way more than they can use of those things! I have more candles in my closet than I will ever be able to burn.:headache:

I'm stuck on teacher gifts also. My dd has a male teacher this year. I've never had to buy for a male teacher before and I have no idea.

Gift Cards are always a nice gift. Dunkin Donuts would be my top choice, but you need to know what the teacher likes. I appreciate the thought no matter what the gift, but there is such a thing as too many apple mugs, ornaments and so on. Any homemade food items go into the teacher's room or into the trash.

OP how about a Disney Gift Card. YOu could put a note with it saying something like "this card is good at WDW as well as Disney Stores" She could use it to save up for her WDW vacation.

Many many so called "Disney freaks" do not know that the gift cards you buy at the stores can be used at WDW (and DL too). :goodvibes

Special ed teacher here, and I agree with all of the above. Might I also add that apple-themed trinkets for the classroom are, while appreciated, not always a good idea because the classrooms get cluttered enough as it is (at least in my opinion!). I have run out of room for that stuff, as cute as it is. :)

I have to say, some of my all-time favorite gifts are cards that the kids made themselves. Now THOSE are something I have a hard time getting rid of. :)

My ds's teacher had several kids I'm getting them a home movie night. Microwave popcorn, g/c to blockbuster and pizza place. I found a popcorn bucket at the dollar spot in target that I'll put it all in. Dds teacher not sure yet.
