These were so cheap to make. I am only using my stash for the paper. Big notepads are 6/$2.44 and sticky notes 12/$4.97 at Walmart -- so that's $0.82! I bought sticky back velcro at M's at $3.29 less 40% discount. If I get to it I may add a pen.

I have to confess, you can make this without a scoring board, but I did buy the Martha Stewart scoring board for $20 less 40% - -but even if I include that, this is still pretty cost effective.

I love the scoring board!

Hmmm...maybe I should cover up that Ampad efficiency logo

Those are cool. Adding a little color to the inside of the large with a strip of paper covering those words would look nice.

What size are the pads?

Would be okay if you shared your measurements? I can see I would waste a lot of paper trying to figure it out myself. :rolleyes1 I never get it right the first time.

Very nice!
I too would love to know the measurements if you wouldn't mind sharing.. Those would be very good gifts for the older kids to give to their teachers since they each have 7!!
It would also be very beneficial for all the special teachers (computer, library, etc)

THanks! I'll post the measurements later today. The larger notepads are 5x8.

Here is the info -- unless you buy the exact notebooks, I can't guarantee it will match. My notebooks and sticky pads are from Walmart. Ampad efficiency Jr size writing pads, 5 x8, 50 sheet pads item #20-163. Sticky notes -- 3x3 self-stick notes by Z international #01909.

Notepad
cardstock 8 1/8 x 11 1/2 -- score at 3, 3 1/4, 8 3/8, 8 5/8 (Note: if I had 1/16 markings on my scoring board, I would probably change these score lines)

Mats:
bottom solid layer: 2 5/8 x 7 7/8 and 2 3/4 x 7 7/8
top printed layer: 2 1/2 x 7 3/4 and 2 5/8 x 7 3/4

Interior strip of paper to cover logo: 7/8 x 5

Alphalicious: page 119 short stack cirlce at 2" and short stack shift scallop circle at 2"

Storybook letters at 1 1/2

Some of the circles were embossed with the cuttlebug folder swiss dots, some not.

I used sticky back velcro for the closure - -you may decide you don't need it. So far I have managed to make 3 of these upside down, so make sure you open the notbook before you put on youe cirlce piece!

Sticky note:

cardstock 3 1/8 x 7 3/4 -- this is a nice snug fit
score at 2 1/8, 2 1/2, 5 5/8, 6

layers
solid 1 1/2 x 2 7/8 and 1 7/8 x 2 7/8
print 1 3/8 x 2 3/4 and 1 3/4 x 2 3/4

Alphalicious: p119 short stack circle at 1 1/2" ans short stack shift scallop circle at 1 1/2"

Storybook letters at 1"

You can do this without a scoring board, but it is much much easier with it.

I am heading out to see what I can find for wrapping for these (I am making 42 sets!)

I'm shooting for the 15th too.

I found gift bags for $0.35 at ACM. I will put them in there with a piece of tissue paper.

I used glue dots to adhere the notebook to the cardstock and Scotch's SCrapbooking glue for the stick notes - -a liquid glue.

If you make some, please post photos! I'd love to see them. Also, if you have any trips for making them, I'd be interested.

I'm going to show these to PJ tonight.. I think she might be more willing to do this for her friends... heck, it'll cost her a total of $5.00....and what she doesn't use, I can...and it's not like we don't have a bit of paper downstairs... it won't cost her but the run to Walmart...

WOW - those are great. Thanks for sharing the measurements:goodvibes

Those are really nice. thanks for posting the measurements. I am going to print it out for future reference and gift giving. :thumbsup2

Those are terrific! Thanks for sharing the measurements - I can definitely see myself doing this at some point.

I went and bought all the supplies yesterday... My stash is yelling for DD and I to try these out this weekend!!!!

Did you glue these down or cut a slot in the back to slide the cardboard through?

These look great and they are right in my price range for teacher gifts, plus the kids can help make them and pick out the patterned paper so they will love it.
However, I have to confess, I don't know what a scoring board is??
