Teacher Gift - The final product

So this is what we gave the teachers and they all loved it! Well I think they did, I got 1 thank you out of 23 bags. But what ever.

Each teacher got a post it note holder, a bottle of hand sanitizer, chalk or dry erase markers(depending on the classroom),a stack of bland note cards, and 2 tickets to the local AAA baseball team playoffs.

I would have said thank you! I made sure to always give thank you notes in return for the gifts I got as a teacher - they brightened my day so much, it's appropriate to say thanks for that! I think your kits are super cute, and thanks for sharing the end result.

very nice Buffy! sorry about the thank yous. when ds was in K we bought his teacher a pandora braclet for the end of the year gift (i bunch of parents chipped in) and no thank you. sorry. but it hurt my feelings. and i kept telling ds to watch the mail for a card from her.........

Bamb - thanks for the offer but please save it for those teachers who may run out before Christmas and truly appreciate what your PTO does to support them.
I have to admit that even with all the the responsibilities we have, taking a few minutes to say thanks is not unreasonable. I am sure there are many other teachers who have spent a good deal of their own money for supplies, and these gifts are great to have!

Kicky's Headteacher retired at the end of last term, and not only did she send a letter of thanks for the stuff the school and PTA gave her, she wrote an individual letter to every family which send a personal card or gift (in a school of almost 500, where she had been a much-loved head for over 15 years, that's a lot of thanks!). She also presented a plaque of teh school crest for the hall.

That is sad the teachers didn't acknowledge the gift, you put so much thought and effort into making them.
