We are planning an afternoon of appetizers and beverages for Teacher's Appreciation week and I am looking for some ideas on what to make. I know I am going to make a Pecan Sandie cheesecake, but I am looking for yummy ideas for finger foods. Any idea's?

Little finger sandwiches... maybe a nice chicken salad with walnuts, or cucumber sandwich, or a deviled ham.. or
maybe deviled eggs with curry...

I've never been to a Tea, so my ideas may be a little off :o , but here are some I've thought of:

Ham Biscuits
Sausage Balls
Cheese ball w/crackers
Spinach dip w/tortillas

I hope you have a good time! :)

Pecan Sandie Cheesecake.. omg.. Debbi.. send me the recipe ...please!

We did a dessert party one year for the teachers... it was well received.

Easy appetizers like fruit kabobs might be nice.. I use the long skewers with fresh fruits like strawberries, grapes, pineapples and mandarins.. with a honey and yogurt dipping sauce on the side.. It is pretty, neat and easy too!

May I ask when this is?

It's May 4-10 here in America. I guess it's the same for tiggerlover in Italy.

Hey there Kim! :) You're welcome!

Yes, it is the same here. We are having the tea on Thursday the 8th.

Thanks everyone for the great ideas!

And Joan, I will email you the recipe. If I happen to forget (I am out the door to take Tyler to the bus) remind me, ok.

I think she will! She's already told me about this hoped-for recipe! ;)

We are actually celebrating it this week so that it doesn't interrupt the PACT testing next week. We had a lunch catered and provided volunteers to watch the students during lunch so that the teachers could eat their lunch wherever they choose. Went over great with the teachers!

other ideas... chocolate covered strawberries... scones

Some quick breads are nice as well, like a cranberry orange/cinnamon swirl... (you know two different textures/tastes)
Also at least one quiche is good as well.. maybe quiche lorraine, or if you know there are some vegetarians, maybe a broccoli cheese one...

Deserts: mini eclairs (I make these and they are good), can you get cannolis? You know, the mini ones. And cookies or tiny one bite brownies as well...

Fruit platter is always very nice as well... (I've been to some teas where the fruit is glazed, and some where it is not)

I've been to my share of teas...
