I tend to do a small gift each day during teacher appreciation week (usually under $1/day cost)
This year:
Monday- small bag Bear Creek soup mix w/ a note that said :You are a "souper" teacher!
Tuesday- Popcorn bucket from $ tree, micro popcorn, a couple cans of soda, some candy, Mrs. Field's cookies (individually wrapped) and a free rental from blockbuster with a note that said: Popping in to let you know that we appreciate you!
Wednesday- handwritten notes from my kids to thank their teachers
Thursday- School sponsored pot luck lunch, I'm sending in pasta salad and both teachers will get a candle w/ a sappy teacher poem attached
Friday- Candy bar poem on poster board.
The K class collected up to $5 from each family- I'm picking up a gift certificate to a local teacher supply store. All kids will sign the card (which is actually an autograph picture frame) regardless of contribution.
I don't do an end of the year gift typically, but my daughter's K teacher is fresh out of college and I'm making her a little scrapbook of her first year of teaching.
Other ideas.... Bag of starlight mints :"We appreciate your commitMINT"
M&Ms We think you are Magnificent and Marvelous!
Bag of peanuts/nuts- We are NUTS about you!
mini fan- I'm your biggest FAN!
School supplies- At xyz school, we are lucky to have the best SUPPLY of teachers.
100 grand bar - you deserve this every payday
Payday bar- Wish we could give you an extra payday
Take 5 bar- Here's an extra break for you!
