Yesterday was my daughter Christmas party. The teacher gave all the kids a book and a gift card for a ice cream.

The principal gave the kids all a photo frame that had the class photo in it.

So many times teachers get a bad rap. I just wanted to share a nice gesture

That was a nice gift from the principal. Dc's teachers always give out books and a little something else like candy or a pencil case with stuff in it. The kids get a class pic at the end of the school year. I don't pay for these, Im not sure if they are from the school or what, but its nice for them to have a pic of their class.

When our kids were in elementary school it was part of the picture package that we bought but they didn't come until the end of the year for some reason.

I ordered each of my students a book from Scholastic. Unfortunately, when the box arrived the other day it had a note saying they were sorry that the book was on back order. So my students will each be getting a coupon for a free book. At least this way they get to pick the book they want instead of getting the one I picked. They just won't have it until January :headache:

I also got them each a box of movie size Nerds. The idea was that the book would go on top of the candy and I was planning on wrapping them. Is it corny to wrap a box of Nerds and a coupon?

I wouldn't wrap the Nerds and coupon. The coupon might get lost in the wrapping paper tearing frenzy. :yay: Maybe wrap the coupon around the nerds and put them in an envelope?

What about sliding both into some Xmas themed treat bags? I usually find some clear cellophane ones at the dollar store with candy canes or snowflakes printed on them.
