Teach to Draw Classes????

Are they still available and where? I read ( or heard) somewhere that the classes were like the one that was offered at HS for many years before the Art of Animation building closed. Loved it!!! Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

There has been such a class at Disney Quest (at the west end of Disney Springs; requires separate admission of about $45. or water park fun). They used electronic drawing tablets which I thought were more difficult to use compared with pencil and paper.

Hopefully someone else will chime in because I would like to attend one when we return. I heard that Art of Animation resort has them and they use the pencil and paper.

If you are talking about the ones that were in DHS, they no longer have that. I don't know about anywhere else on property

I never did the class at HS, so I don't know how it compares, but Art of Animation does have drawing sessions multiple times a day (I think it they were at 11, 2, and 5 when we were there in June). They take place on the couches right inside the entrance to Animation Hall (by where Magic Express drops off, not at the entrance closest to the park busses), and they use paper and pencil. once you know the times you can just show up. my ds loved them, and his drawings improved with each session.

Yes, just read a trip report thread where the person had done the animation classes at Art of Animation resort a week or two ago. Classes are in the lobby/main building of the resort, last about 25 minutes, and are free to all.

I just got back and I did see a line for such a class. I was on a mission so I didn't have time to investigate. I _think_ it was at EPCOT in the Innoventions (what's left of it) space. Apologies for no 100% details. I got the impression it was just like the one they did at Hollywood Studios in the Animation building.

They are doing the animation academy at innoventions west but only during the festival of the arts. I talked to cm who hope it stays there after the festival is over because it is very popular
