Has anyone ever done this? I love afternoon tea, but would like to be able to go with my son. Is it as nice and how do you book it? Thanks

We went (myself and 2 DD ages 8 & 10). They do not serve tea, only iced tea and a cookie. It was nice, but for my kids who have been to a formal tea, it was not what we were expecting. Wendy comes around to all of the tables and you can get a good picture. Does not take long and is on a sea day, so book it if you can. No cost, but you have to get tickets at guest services, it that hasn't changed. Look at your navigator when you first get on the ship. If you want any other specifics, pm me.

We did this with our daughter(3) this past March and she loved it. They get 2 boys out of the crowd to sit with Wendy as she tells a story, then you have iced tea and cookies. After that everyone can go up for pictures.

Our daughter loved it as she'e really into Wendy. In fact she didn't want leave from the picture and carried on a conversation with Wendy for 2 mins. The CM and crowd was great as thye just let her go on and didn't push her away. In fact once we did get her to leave, she remembered that she wanted to show Wendy her My little pony and ran back over, putting each on the table. Everyone was really cool about it which I thought was a big difference than alot of the other characters greetings where you have a ton of people trying to get there. There was only about 20 tables that had people so it was a nice small crowd. Well worth going, plus it was a nice way to cool off from the outside

I would also recommend tea, but would agree that you will be disappointed if you are expecting a formal tea. We took my son and daughter and my son was one of the ones picked to be Michael and John and sit with Wendy, it was really neat and since I don't think all that many boys tend to go your son may have a pretty good shot at getting this special treatment. The timing was good for us, it was late afternoon as I recall so time to come in from the pools anyway. Some people were dressed up but we just threw on clothes over our swimsuits and went straight from the pool. Our ticket pickup (March 19 Magic) was on the day we boarded, be sure to check for times, they offer it twice so you should be ok but our first cruise I didn't notice the ticket pickup time and when I went the next day there was no availability. If you can't get tickets I have heard that if you show up they often have no shows so you can try to get in that way.

Tickets for Wendy was on my to-do list upon boarding..I went to get Palo ressies, Spa ressies, dining changes and then guest services to pick up my tickets for tea with wendy and the bridge tour. It was cute, all the people sit at tables and Wendy walks around telling a story. Then she sits at a table and the kids line up to have their pictures taken with her.

If you are on a 4-day cruise, you do not have to book the tea. It is listed on the navigator and you just show up at the kid's club at that time. My DD, 4, loves Wendy, so I brought her there just for the tea. I took my own pictures-priceless!! :lovestruc

We just went on the 4 day cruise and they asked for our tickets at the door. We got them at guest services. It was not what I expected and would probably not go again. the girls seemed a bit bored and Wendy didn't come to the tables. At the end, you waited in line to sit with her and get a picture at her table. I thought that it was odd that they didn't take a picture there.
