going to be on the Sept. 25th 04 magic Can any one tell me about " Tea With Wendy" i have a 6yr old Daughter is this a do not miss event ?? thanks

Some people really love the TWW. Personally I thought it was ok- but not a don't miss. Wendy comes out- talks for a minute about the practice of taking tea, then she tells the peter pan story and you have iced tea in a pot with one choc chip cookie each. After that you line up for pics and thats that!
The Wendy on our cruise was really good.
But my kids weren't very familiar with the peter pan story and I think they enjoyed it- but were not overwhelmed.
Some little girls dress up in their princess dresses and get really into it.

We were on the Feb7-Feb 14 Eastern Cruise and had a FABULOUS time! When I saw your thread about the Tea with Wendy, I just had to reply.

In my honest opinion, the Tea with Wendy (which we had heard great things about and just HAD to go get tickets for), was the biggest waste of time in our whole week on the ship. We have three girls, ages 4, 7 & 10, and thought they would LOVE a tea party! But we were wrong! They thought it was dumb too! I should have known when we walked into Studio Sea and saw that half the place was empty! It was a shame, because we pulled the girls out of the pool to rush over and get ready for the tea, and it turned out to be a BIG disappointment.

If I went again, I wouldn't go to Tea with Wendy.

I think whoever created 'Tea with Wendy' had the right intentions. Not knowing what to expect and what to do with ourselves the first time we sailed the Magic, the first two days at sea seemed rather long at times, and we were glad to fill the time w/such events as 'Tea with Wendy.'

However, I have to admit that we were disappointed, as we were hoping it'd be similar to breakfast at Cinderella's castle.
I even stood in line for tickets the following year, as we were trying to fill time for the at sea days. However, the 'Teas' filled up and they began turning everyone away. The mom behind me was upset, and I caught myself saying, 'don't worry, we did this last year, and you're not missing much.' I was quickly ashamed of myself for saying something so negative, but we really thought it was lacking something.

Maybe my DD (age 7) was outgrowing the 'princess phase', and I'm sure many other little ones might love it.

I agree, the tea is a little disappointing. Our Wendy was adorable! I think it would have been nicer if it was decorated cuter, or if they had nice china tea cups to drink out of. Instead it's mugs and plates (stonewear?) and they're orange! It's nice to do once, but I'm not sure we'll do it next time. Especially when you have to wait in line for the tickets.

Well thanks all, i get the picture about tea with wendy, guess we will see what happens when it gets closer to cruise time
