Has anyone else done the tea since they have moved it?
If so how was it before I book in march?

Thanks in advance

I haven't but I asked this just before our trip last month and the response wasn't good.

People had complained about the lack of savoury food and said it was very disorganised with characters being mobbed and the staff not doing anything about it. I think (could be wrong though) that someone even reported walking out :scared1:

Needless to say we didn't book it for our trip, so I can't give you my personal opinion I'm afraid.

Hi...

I can only go on our personal experience back in December at the Lucky Nugget and it wasnt good!

It was a scrum to get in, they had 2 desks, one for birthday tea and one for reservations but nobody told us this so people were in the wrong queue and getting pushed from one side to the next.......we were shown our table but it was so cramped...when myself and my son went to get food, there was hardly anything left...just a few yoghurts :confused3 and lots of empty platters....and it wasnt getting replaced...there was no order either so again lots of pushing and shoving to get past...I couldnt even see where the drinks were and what they were....what characters were there were getting mobbed so would take ages to get to your table I would imagine....the place was just so cramped, loud and hot.....my husband who is the most laid back person went and demanded a refund which he got and we swiftly left.....never again... I just hope they sort it out soon.....sorry I cant be positive! ;)

Thanks I think I might pass after these comments. It is a shame as it was one of our favourites.

We went twice in December. We had prepaid for the tea party and birthday tea party because at that time the tea party was at pizza planet and the birthday tea was at lucky nugget. When we got to Disneyland in December, they had changed the tea party venue and had combined it with the birthday tea party at lucky nugget.

So..... we went to the regular tea party the first time. Horrendous, no que, nighmare push to get into the door. We were seated upstairs, where the food selection was absolutely appauling, only some biscuits and muffins. We hardly saw any characters, maybe one actually passed our table in the 30 minutes we sat there. We eventually went downstairs to get some of the buffet food that was down there as there was a much bigger selection down there. But basically it was appauling. I complained on the way out to the manager as I was very unimpressed.

Then went back for the birthday tea party a few days later. Was very tempted not to go, but as we had already paid and had a voucher, thought we may as well. Well.... the no que and pushing and shoving to get in was even WORSE this time. When the doors opened it was actually dangerous, being at the front of this mass of people, who just pushed forward and children were being squashed, it was terrible. Anyway we got inside and we were seated downstairs, the food was ok, characters were ok, again, we didnt see all of them, many would come out and go partly around the room then disappear out the back and new characters would come out. It was ok. The cake was nice, the toy was nice and the card for the characters to sign was ok. But if we went for a birthday again, we would do a cake at cafe mickeys, we saw so many of those going out when we ate there a few times and it looked so fun.
