Tea Party Grand Floridian

Would like to know if the tea party with Alice in Wonderland is a good bet for my 9 yo DD? Also are you allowed to sit out on the beach at the GF whilst waiting - I know you wouldn't be allowed in the pool.

What I have heard about the tea party is all good. Children seem to love it. I would think 9 is a about the high end of the party(my recollection is 10 year olds think they are teenagers )

You should consider all three of the GF's children's activities for your daughter -- the Wonderland Tea Party, the Pirates Cruise, and the Grand Adventures in Cooking Class. The CMs (Cast Members) especially enjoy the older children because they can help with various things during the events (the younger children really look up to the older ones and the CMs play off of that fact). My niece was one of the "older" children during all three of the events and she had a ball -- Drew and the other CMs made her feel important and let her take the lead on a few things. By the way, my daughter just did all three events two weeks ago. This was her third year doing them and she wouldn't miss them for the world (Disney or otherwise). I wish I could attend them, too, *sigh*.

In regards to what to do while your child is attending any of the events, grab a bite to eat at the snack bar and sit outside at the marina and enjoy the gorgeous Florida sunshine. Or sit in the lobby and read a book (or people-watch). Or sit in a lounge chair at the pool area and relax/read/people-watch/eat/drink/be merry. The GF is a beautiful resort.
