Tea or Anna and Elsa?!

So when I booked my fast passes, I did not have the intention of booking Anna and Elsa (because I didn't think it would be possible). When I saw my options for one of our days at MK, it was an option and I just wanted to book it because I could. I then got really excited about it! It's just my boyfriend and I going on this trip and we live in western Canada and Disney doesn't happen often for me at all so I want to make this a great trip. My boyfriend suggested afternoon tea at the GF and I kind of laughed because we're about 30 days out, there's no way we can get that. Also I didn't think he would be interested in it. I looked for fun to see if anything would come up and guess what- it did! I was able to book a reservation at 2:15 on sept 27, the same day as our A&E FP. Not only the same day, but our A&E FP is from 2:20-3:20. So I have to choose one or the other. I'm trying to move either of them around and it seems like it's not going to happen. I need help deciding which one! I'm leaning more towards tea because it seems like such a neat experience but I want to meet Anna and Elsa!

You can still meet them without a FP but you are less likely to be able to go to tea without an ADR. Can you try to rope drop or stay later in the evening so the lines won't be tooo long for A&E? Generally speaking lines have gotten shorter for them, no longer the 6 hour horror stories. I think you could still do both, I would keep the tea.

I also would keep the ADR since you can see A&E without FP. Waits have gotten more reasonable, especially of you go early or late. Also, even with a FP you are going to wait 15-20 min.

I'm definitely leaning towards keeping my ADR, I was just waiting for someone to tell me it's not worth it but the experience seems really neat. I don't think I would RD for A&E as like I said in my first post, I didn't even care about meeting A&E until I got the FP, lol. I'm going to be in MK until midnight one night, so I think maybe I'll keep checking on the line that day and if it's too long then oh well.

I'd keep the tea. If it's something you can do together it's an experience and memory that will last a long time. Greeting A&E is nice and you can visit without a FP but it's 5 mins tips as opposed to the special time you'll share together at the tea!

Keep in mind that the A&E lines closes a half hour before park closing time and the posted waits can be greatly exaggerated late at night. Just a few weeks ago, the actual wait just before 11:30 pm was 10 minutes for A&E. The posted wait time was 90 minutes.

Thanks, I'll definitely keep that in mind!

Just reiterating at this point, but I would pick the tea over a meet and greet with Anna & Elsa any day of the week. It's going to be soo much more memorable.

Another vote for the tea, those ADRs are hard to get and it really is a fun experience. Is it the best tea in the world? No, but it's decent, the food is not bad and the setting is perfect. I do it every time I go.

I would do the tea, in fact, I have an ADR for Afternoon Tea at the GF for this trip. I was unsuccessful getting an ADR for my two prior trips, so I'm happy I was able to get one this trip. You can always meet A&E without one.

Awesome! I'm really excited for tea now. I just wasn't sure if it was overrated! I'm glad I got all the positive feedback regarding it.

I did the tea in May with a friend. It was so much fun, much better than a 2 minute meet and greet. There are 3 different package levels. I joked that I would need actual lunch still and was fine with the middle package.
