Alright EVERYONE here is our sent/received thread!! All names are out and let the SHOPPING begin!! :goodvibes

PLEASE remember to send your package PRIORITY WITH DELIVERY CONFORMATION so that we can track your package if we need to...popcorn::

Have fun with this!! I can't want to hear all the WONDERFUL exchanges!!

Mail by is Next Friday (November 23) Please try to get it out ASAP so that your person can start enjoying their tea RIGHT AWAY!!:coffee:

Let me know if you have problems or concerns...

Question: Do you like to eat anything special with your tea? (ie Tea Cakes, Cookies, etc.)

Question: Have you ever been to a HIGH TEA (or something like it)?

Usually for me, I like something that balances the tea. Like if it is a bitter like lemon, I go for a little sweeter treat like a cookie, or if it is sweeter like vanilla, I go for a bitter snack like a salad or sandwich...

I went to a tea at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC...when I was 14 with my grandparents..it was my FIRST HIGH TEA EVER! popcorn:: All I remember after was, "When are we going to have lunch??" :rotfl: I guess tea, finger sandwiches, and scones didn't fill me up...:rolleyes1

I have always wanted to go to the tea at the GRAND FLORIDIAN, but haven't had the chance yet...not sure if I could get DH to go with me, and it seems silly to go ALONE! princess:

I usually just drink tea in the morning, so with breakfast.
Sometimes, if I get cold in the afternoon also.

I have been to tea at the Empress, Garden View a few times and several other tea rooms too. Lots of fun. We are supposed to go to one in Dec, but not sure if it is going to happen, the planner got laid off from her job. :(

Do you have time to go to tea at the GF when we overlap in December/January? Would you like to go? I would!!

I went there for the first time in January with Meriweather and a friend!:thumbsup2

 Bobbi. It was a fun tea.

We are supposed to go to the Biltmore for tea in Dec............we'll see.
Guess I should find out if the plans are still going?

Ours is on its way!!! :-). Hope our person enjoys it!:cool1:

Bobbi...that would be FUN to go to TEA together!! We will have to talk about it but I am up for it if you are...

Hope everybody is having a nice SATURDAY!!

Question: Do you ever add milk or cream to your tea?

Every once in a while I like to add milk...::yes::

I sometimes add milk to plain black tea, but not often.

Mine is boxed up.............it sticks up a bit in the box, so hope the PO doesn't have an issue with that.
It will go out Monday. I will post back when it is picked up....but I for got to put a note it in
I did put my DIS name on the outside.

When I was young, weak tea with milk was what mom gave me. I suppose to settle my stomach. Now.its been years since I've even remembered that. No, I don't add milk.

Just ordered, hopefully it will arrive very quickly!

I recently changed over to almond milk, and I add it to tea--it does give it a different flavor!

ooo...Almond Milk...I may have to try that... :thumbsup2

Hope everybody had a nice weekend...Did everybody have fun shopping this Weekend for their people?? :flower3: Don't forget you need to have your packages in the mail by FRIDAY!! :drive:

Thanks to everyone responding the Questions...it has been fun to hear your answers!! :goodvibes Since I am excited at having a little tea party with myself when the tea arrives...This inspires my next question...:lovestruc

Question: If you were going to tea, what would you have there? Tea? Sandwiches? Scones? Cakes?

Well for me, I would like maybe a nice Peppermint tea with a Scone with Cream and Strawberries, a few Cucumber Sandwiches, and maybe an Almond Biscotti...:goodvibes May seem kinda silly, but I just love CLASSINESS of a tea...:coffee:

Well, since I am trying to be good............last tea, I only had the strawberries and cream.

Side note: We now do a tea for our Easter celebration. We have done it for the last 2 years and everyone likes it, so I think it has before our Easter tradition.
We do 2 kinds of scones, lemon cakes, cinnamon rolls, egg, cucumber, and tuna sandwiches and turkey rolls, chocolate covered strawberries.

And my package is on its way.

That sounds like a fun tea Merriweather!! :goodvibes Lots of yummy things...::yes::

Glad yours is sent off...that is at least 3 in the mail...:hippie: Anybody else? :cool2:

My package has been shipped!:thumbsup2

I enjoy scones and clotted cream! Our fanciest tea was in Canada, Prince of Wales resort in Waterton Glacier National Parks, it was magnificent, the food the view, the whole package!:thumbsup2

 my package arrived today! Inside was tropical rooibos tea, 4 flavors of chai--chocolate, coconut, caramel, and hazelnut, chocolate mate tea, Prince of Wales tea, and salted caramel cocoa.

Thank you, I can't wait to brew a cup. Only problem is I don't know which one to start with, they all sound so good!!!!!

ooo...Almond Milk...I may have to try that... :thumbsup2

Almond milk is awesome--very low in calories. It is great to use in pudding too ;)
I am now gluten intolerant so I would have to stick with the strawberries too.

So glad you got it!! :-) I hope it all tastes good! Please let me know how it is, I was tempted to get those for myself...:rotfl2: And you are soooo welcome!! It was fun to shop for...::yes:: I do hope they were all "gluten free" I didn't see anything to the contrary...:confused3

AWESOME! Our first arrival!! :moped:

Question: Is there a flavor or type of tea you have ALWAYS wanted to try but have not been brave enough yet?

I have been intrigued by the "chocolate" teas, kinda like the ones I sent Can24, but I haven't been brave yet...There are a couple I have seen in the herbal ones from various companies but have not tried...

I've tried all the ones that interest me.
I still go back to the same spicy ones I love.
The gingerbread tea at the GF was really good.

I received my Tea Exchange Gift today:banana: from Nancy in Arizona!

Not only did I get a huge Bigelow Jar with 88 assorted tea bags:cool1:, but a mug with some stocking stuffer items, a Disney mini stocking, a jar of jam, and some more adorable items like a Christmas Stamping set, some cards, and a Mickey and Minnie window cling. Add to that some note pads, and calendars.

Everything arrived safe and sound. Big Thanks to Nancy, and to Evita W for coordinating all of this. It is my first year involved with Exchanges, and I did this one and the Yankee Candle one with great results.
Happy Thanksgiving to all! Deb from Long Island, NY

:yay: Glad it arrived intact.......had to go to that bigger box and then was still hoping the PO didn't object to it sticking up a bit.
Enjoy.............let us know if you find a favorite in there.
Happy Holidays!! :santa:

Oh, I just figured out that Nancy is Meriweather, from the other exchange I participated in !!!! LOL, for a minute or two, I thought I posted on the wrong thread!!!!!! LOL! Deb
