Hi everyone, I was trying to think of something different and special to do with my DD13 and I was looking for some feedback on the afternoon tea time at the GF for me and her to do. Any and all opinions are welcome. :coffee:

I have done the tea twice. The first time was with a large group, 8 of us. I shared the tea for two and it was very good, but alot of food. The second time I ordered ala carte and I liked this better. I did not feel as stuffed. I shared the cheese platter and sandwich plate with my DSis, we had diet soda:rotfl2: and then shared a dessert. I love the ambiance of the room, and eating off of the special china. Even though I do not like tea, I enjoyed dinning there. We have an ADR for 11/14, hope we keep it! Will watch everyone else's comments to see if anyone has suggestions for our next meal there.

We love going to Tea and we go about 3 - 4 times a year in various cities. We had Tea at GF and it was so nice. We loved it. Go you will have a lovely time.

DH and I try to work it into at least 2 trips each year.

It's great for relaxing, kicking back and taking some time for yourself!

And the atmosphere, food and tea are luscious....

Just like jwwi I do not care for Tea, but did this earlier this year and loved it - I had the Grand Tea. We have even made ADRs for this coming January, this trip I am going to do a la carte items. It was a different experience and really helped slow down the pace of the trip. The jam tarts and trifle are really delicious.

I did this with my younger sister over the summer. I really loved it; she thought that it was over-priced for what she would eat. Both of us ordered the Buckingham Palace Tea, but she only ordered it because they wouldn't let her order the Mrs. Pott's Tea. We had fun spending time together, but she didn't like her food, and I think she would have preferred going out for ice cream to going to tea. I think it was fabulous, but if your daughter is a picky eater you might want to check out something else.
