Here's the scoop ... I swear that they do not know the meaning of customer service!
DH & I went to TDS store #1. We buy ds's PH pass for WDW ($161). We ask for the Nemo tix and they say "Sorry, they're not available b/c you're purchasing PH's." So, DH goes to the sign and pulls it down and says "nothing on the sign says that PH's are excluded from the promotion". So, I go on further to say that I read of people getting tix for purchasing PH's. The manager comes over and says "well, it's in our paperwork, but since it's not on the sign, I'll give it to you." So, she gives us the tix. She is very nice about it and is surprised that the PH exclusion isn't on signage.
Meanwhile, we want to buy these shirts for DS but they don't have his size at TDS #1. The CM calls and tells us they have them at TDS #2 in a different mall but cannot hold them since they are sale items. So, we head over to TDS #2. There, we buy the 2 shirts and my PH ($216). So, we cash out and she doesn't give us the Nemo tix. So, I asked for them. She gave me the same song and dance that they weren't available w/PH purchase. I told her that they gave the tix to us at TDS #1. She says that she has to call the manager. Manager says she can't do it. We tell her they did it at TDS #1 and showed her our receipt, the sign, plus told her we heard of others receiving tix. She totally tries to hassle us. So, she ends up calling TDS #1 to get confirmation that they did this. She gets off the phone and says they'll do it only this time. She goes on to say it's not good with other in-store tie ins. Since when are PH's in-store tie ins? Yeah, I could see if I wanted the daily special plus the Nemo tix ... but that's not what I was trying to do. Then, she tells me that the manager at TDS #1 TOLD me that I wasn't supposed to get the tix and can't believe I'm trying to get them at the other store. Uh -- first of all, the manager told me that the signs were incorrect, so I was entitled to the tix. And, correct me if I'm wrong ... but it's per guest per visit. I am a guest in that store as much as I'm a guest in the other store. So what if I'm in both stores in one day!? They are treated as two separate stores, right?! So, the woman says that I'm taking advantage. Uh -- and would it be different if I bought $50 in mdse at TDS #1 and went to TDS #2 to but $50 more?! They have my cash (and a heck of a lot more than $50!) so why are they complaining!??!!?
It's not like I'm asking for Donald Dollars ... I am asking for a couple of movie tickets. I am sure that I'm not the only person who went to 2 TDS locations to spend my money!
