Hey y'all! So I'm thinking about taking a trip to Tokyo Disneyland Resort within the next few years and I was wondering if anyone has gone through DVC. I'm thinking about sending them an e-mail to send me some info, but if anyone has any experience of going through DVC, please let me know! :goodvibes

I think the procedure is you call DVC and:
1. Give them the dates you're interested in and the resort
2. Make sure you have enough points in your acct.
3. They'll shoot out a request to TDR to check for availability (may take 2-3 or 3-5 days I think not sure exactly)
4. If there is availability they'll book you automatically. If not I'm not sure if they'll email or call you or what. You might have to ask them about that.

Have you checked their points requirement tho? 56-60pts/night + $95 collection fee.

Unless things have changed since the last time I was there, the Tokyo Disney hotels start taking reservations exactly six months ahead of time and book quickly. We didn't go through DVC, but booked the Miracosta on our own.

I would also check out the other hotels nearby--although the Miracosta was an awesomely beautiful hotel, we found ourselves heading to the nearby American hotel chains for snacks and morning coffee. One of those hotels (I forget which one) has an actual Starbucks. I'm glad we did the Miracosta once, but will book the Sharaton next time.

I would LOVE to stay on property, but I would have to look at how many points that would use and whatnot.
It's the Hilton that has the Starbucks. I checked it out while I was doing a report on Tokyo Disneyland for my Japanese class. It's a really nice Hilton, but then again, a vast majority of them are!

I emailed DVC to get some general information. I wasn't sure about the points though, because I couldn't find how much it would be on the DVC website. But thanks for the step by step process!

It on the member site under Disney Collection/Destinations Around the World

Points for the Miracosta go from 47-95 a night depending on season, view and day of week
