TDL May calendar pin question

Anyone know why the May calendar pin has a sticker on the card that reads, "Special Edition"?
I have the other calendar pins, all on cards. None have this sticker. Just wondering why this is "special." (Well, yea, is was to me. But I am sure many think not. )

I just noticed the same thing. Doesn't say LE or anything else.

I wrote the seller, asking her. Her reply:
"It is Japan's new way of saying limited release pin. No edition number set, but not open stock."
