Hello All

I've been surfing the forum for a few weeks, but this is my first time of posting.

I've booked the family holiday in Disney via TDC, and we've been allocated flights on the Air Excel/Air Atlanta jumbos from Gatwick.

Has anyone flown on these recently? If so, any praise or horror stories (not too bad please!) to share with us?

Thanks

Who are TDC? I've heard of TCD Travel City Direct but not TDC?

Thanks

Hi

I flew with them yesterday!!! My only criticisms (sp?) were the food and drink onboard is quite costly especially if you have a few children. i.e. Carton Ribena £1, muffin £1, mini pringles £1, Drinks & mixers £3.35 etc. The other was the inflight entertainment, if you're only small like me 5' 3" and even worse for kids and you're not sitting on an end seat you don't really have much chance of seeing the screen which is situated at the end of the cabin.

The food was fine, airline staff good and seat pitch was 31"

Hope you were warned in advance that drinks would not be free.

I am travelling with TCD via Sunshine First next year. TCD have confirmed its on their 'European 747 and quote the drinks as free

Thanks for the info., I already plan to have plenty of nuts, crisps, dried fruit and even muffins in my hand luggage - as well as the essential water and book. M&S make a mean fruit muffin, great for a special treat on the plane.

And... I know the fruit and nuts can't be taken off the plane.

My children are both teens, so will have walkmans and books too. Shame about the stone age entertainment, but good news on the legroom.

WDW, here we come!

Welcome to the DIS VV :) !

When is your trip?

That's something I'm going to take up with TCD as I was told we were getting free food & drinks - grrrr - I suppose they'll tell you anything just to get the bookings.

Considering some of their peak season tickets can cost upto £550 per person with no child discounts it's pretty disgusting that you have to pay for inflight drinks - especially when it's £1 for a carton of Ribena.

We arrive in Sanford on Thursday afternoon - all being well!

Suitcases are nearly packed already, our third trip to WDW and still as giddy as the first time.

Can't wait, hope there are no more tornado warnings:eek:

Looking forward to riding the new Mission:Space ride.
