I've been reading about this restaurant and it sounds wonderful, but we will have three kids with us, my two nieces ages 8 and 11, both are very well behaved and grown-up for their ages. And my son who is 12 and a bit inpatient (he is ADD) but he does like good food (he doesn't do chicken fingers and fries). Would this restaurant be okay with the kids? I was thinking maybe lunch would be the best choice for us.

This resturant is IN the Royal Pacific Hotel. It does not open until dinner, which I believe starts seating at 5 p.m.....I could be wrong.
Emerils in Citywalk opens for lunch. Both are very good resturants with great food, and would be great for kids. Mine are 5 and 9 who both know who Emeril is, and loved Tchoup Chop....though the 5 yr old was pissed that Emeril wasnt cooking for us.

Tchoup Chop is open for lunch according the the Emeril's website
http://www.emerils.com/restaurants/orlando_tchoupchop/menu_lunch.php
I know it was open for lunch in Dec 05

Dec 05 we ate at Tchoup Chop 2x with then 8DD and 16DS

Both kids really enjoyed it. DS ate off the adult menu of course.
DD had the kids hawaiian chicken

I would say maybe 1/4 of the tables had children at them.
The place isn't a quiet/romantic setting, so as long as the kids aren't running around the tables, or yelling and screaming, they will be fine.

On the web site it does say it's open for lunch. Thanks for the info, this is one place I want to eat, and now I'll feel fine about taking the kids.

We had lunch at Tchoup Chop during our 2005 stay. Although we were the only table in the restaurant dressed in park attire, we felt totally comfortable and the service and food were both great. If you feel your son might be bored, then definitely do lunch where the meals and service are geared to a faster pace.
