We have a three bedroom executive villa with pool booked with TCD this October.

Now, despite lots of calls to TCD, they cannot, or more accuratley, won't tell me where our villa actually is!

They tell me that the actual location is not finailised until we arrive, which clearly is complete cr_p, but as yet all I have been able to get out of them is a list of possible locations?

These are Four corners, Tuscan Ridge, Westbury, Westhaven, Sandy Ridge, Town Centre.

Has anyone manged to get this information out of TCD prior to arrival at Sanford??

Thanks
Stephen

Not trying to worry you, you may want to check out this thread and get back on TCD and demand to know where you are going to be staying and do some reserach before you leave.

If you go to the trip advisor board and check out the Orlando Forum there is a 40 page thread on TCD villas under TCD beware. Cant post a link as this board wont allow it :confused3

What does the brochure say regarding allocation? If it says "allocation on arrival" then that is fair enough. Personally I would NEVER book a villa indirectly - I would always book a specific villa with an owner: thjen you know exctly what you are getting and where you are getting it...

Looked at that thread (well the first page).

I would urge anyone in a similar situation to get the villa changed THERE AND THEN. I am sure that someone on here posted recently about getting a shabby villa from TCD (sounded awful), but they got it changed the very next day (and they are very happy with new one). That was the way to do it :thumbsup2 These things REALLY shouldn't happen, but it seems that they do: if it happens to you, speak to the local TCD office and give them a chance to rectify it AND should that will make you happy too :). Life is too short to be miserable.

The same goes with hotel rooms: if you get a dirty, broken, unacceptable room at a hotel... speak to the front desk - give them the chance to clean/fix it and/or move you. If you are not happy with the next room, get them to move you again.

Hi

We travelled with TCD a year ago and also booked a 3 bedroomed executive villa (they specified one out of 8 choices) but didn't know where we were actually staying until we arrived. Like you, I was very worried we had made a wrong choice but . . .

We were actually allocated a 4 bedroomed exectutive villa on Highgrove (so had a spare bedroom) - at the end of the 192 where it meets the 27 and was fantastic - very clean, lovely pool and couldn't fault it - we had a very good experience with TCD.

The only reason I wouldn't stay in a villa again (and I realise this is a very personal choice) is that we like to get up early to do the parks, rest over lunch and then go back in the evenings so we did a fair bit of driving back and forth (took 20 - 25 mins each way x 2 each day). We had stayed on Disney (CBR) the last two times, and for us, as a family, worked much better. However this was nothing to do with the villa or TCD itself which was faultless.

Hope you have a good experience too!!

Thanks

From reading this board, do you not have to enter an address of where you are staying on the immigration form??

What do you put if you are not told the address until you are in the arrivals halls?

Also, I not too bothered about the various negative threads about TCD especially the trip advisor thread as if that happened to me I would be sitting in their office until they sorted it and would tell them that I would be booking into the most expensive hotel I could find until they had sorted it.

This holiday is too important and to expensive to be messed about by teenage holiday reps.

PS: Disney tickets arrived today from attractionticketsdirect, 10 days from ordering. 14 day ultimates all round. :thumbsup2

Cheers
Stephen

I think you can put the address of the TCD offices down as your address on the forms. :)

I have a home in Glenbrook and wondered who else read it!!! :confused3

I have a lovely home and even the oldest are only 4 years old.It is often the homes which allow Travel agent bookings in the home that do get run-down...thats why I prefer my own bookings!!!

Lynn

P.S.Yes,that onsite MC was fired and the Clubhouse is now manned by independent company servicing HOA and all homes still have their individual MCs
