Would love to hear from those of you who have used any of the TCD upgrades. I can see that First looks fab (even at £300 more pp) but what about the other two, is it worth it?

Thanks,

Eloise

Hiya

I cant vouch for the other two upgrades, but sunshine first was wonderful, it really made the flight seem so much better,!! well worth the 300,
I saw the premium and upper cabin (generally upstairs) and they looked nice too, but they were not as roomy as first.

Plus the food was lovely which is rare on a flight, and our cases were waiting for us when we got off the plain at sanford

dad booke sunshine premium last year.He said the seats were massive....and he's a big fella so if he was comfy.....

We have been in Sunshine Upper Deck once and it was OK - didn't think there was much room!
We have been in Sunshine First twice and although the width of the seats were great, we were really disappointed with the recline! Didn't think there was much difference to a normal seat. Plus the seat tv's do not work. The first time we had a large tape player on our knee and the second time it was like a laptop on our knee. For GBP300+ this was extremely disappointing.
The extra baggage allowance is a plus and so is the priority baggage reclaim - when it works! It has only worked once in Sanford. We have had to wait hours for our bags and Sunshine First appeared to be last off!! This was in both Sanford and Manchester.
The cabin staff can be hit and miss, although on our last trip they were fab! Enjoy the cocktails!
We booked a last minute deal with First Choice in Sept 05 and they still had availability in their premium cabin. We got this for GBP40.00 each - I think normal price is around GBP170 and we there premium cabin is far superior to TCD, although the width was smaller.
TCD prices I think have risen hugely over this last 12 months and even Virgin are cheaper now. TCD have lost our custom - its worth while giving the other airlines premium seats a go. They will surprise you and are much cheaper.
We have booked a last minute deal to go in May 06 with Thomson in their premium cabin, so will let you know how we get on!

wow you had a bad experiance

in sunshine first, on the return, (as the flight didnt have it on the outbound) the tvs worked and the staff were great. the recline was good too and enabeled me to sleep most the way home, plus the leg room was what we really needed which is why we upgraded.

on the outbound we were meant to be in sunshine but the plane didn thave it, our bags still came off first and were sat waiting for us when we got through
