PLANNING
this trip has been booked for 13 MONTHS and I have been on this board for 2 Years and the Dibb for 4 How much planning can you do :confused3
These bad reports on A Atlanta have not been around all that long all I hope is we catch them on a good day.
when you book budget you get budget. as long as we get there safely I will be happy :rotfl:

MY atttitde is I will try and make the most of whatever I book, but I am not so sensitive that a single airflight will ruin my holiday if it is not 100%. I will take a book, possiblty an MP3 player to make sure I can stay occupied. Different people want different things,. I wuld much rather make sure I have good hotels and more spending money that worry about the flight.

Saying that I have not had a bad flight from TCD. The aircraft on one flight was old, but the seats were copmfrtalbe, everything worked OK and we arrived early.

We are going with TCD on their branded flight on the 15th sept, so i was looking to see how many flights were around it to gage the busyness of the airport!!! and found todays flight is just marked delayed no time of expected arrival, does this mean it has not left the uk yet!! i feel very sorry for all travelling today and hope and pray we are ok on the 15th

I just followed your Link and It's Arrived :cool1:

Just relax and go with the flow :cool1:
Remember you will be on HOLIDAY :cool1:

Yes they do arrive eventually. Today of the four flights two were two hours late setting off, one was one hour late and the other was on time.

I travelled recently from glasgow with them.
Great planes.
Delayed one hour on the way out because of a bird strike and five hours on the wayback.
The return plane had a great story.
Arrived at airport ,unloaded passengers and then a large crack developed in the windsceen.
I have heard them all over the years

I noticed that the Air Atlanta flight from Manchester this morning has got time expected delayed, and the TCD one this afternoon says 'See Agent', does that mean it's been cancelled ?

Any airline will have some delays, also this is peak seasons., so the time delays are most likey to happen. It's not worth wportyong what might or might not happen for a later date.

hi

i wasnt worried before reading this and now i am. but BUT travel city direct are with the ABTA. i know it probly doesnt count for alot but if it all goes pete tong ill just go on a mission and end up with more photos of the plane and videos of dodgy things than of the castle itself. lol

joking aside if my holiday is ruined by some dodgy travel agents who also go by the name of "really great holiday company" i will make it my lifes mission to be the bain of their lives. im quite good at that. sky+ know me personally lol.

i urge anyone who is unstaisfied with their holiday or anything else in life to stand up and be counted.

heres the thing for the abta if you have had your holiday ruined.

sorry i have gone off on one but i hate "THE MAN" especially when he stomps on the little man.

Well that plane (the TCD one) was the one that brought us back home 5 minutes early so no problems at all. I couldn't really say a bad word against TCD this trip.

nick n sara :rotfl2:

Nowt wrong with that!

Tell you what i am looking all over the place for October 2006 ideas and there are forums everywhere slamming TCD and many complaining to some up and coming ITV program about holiday problems.

I have never flown with them so am in no place to offer an opinion

on a good note a woke up this morning to find a compensation cheque from virgin on my doorstep, for last years awful flight with them. So thats good it took a year but good all the same.

So It's not JUST tcd that can have bad Flights then.
Are TCD / Air Atlanta really far worse than all the rest or are they just under the spotlight on the dis boards at the moment :confused3
I have been 5 times any the worst flight for me was Air tours nice plane with tv's on the backs of the seats but the narrowest seats i have been in and no leg room either.

Slightly off topic but I was in Gatwick South yesterday working and trying to suss out which zone the TCD flights checked in (Zone E btw) and all of their desks were fully staffed with minimal Q's. Virgin on the other hand was utter, utter chaos with a huge selection of frayed tempers coming from several checkins at the same time and a good few empty seats behind the desks. I'm sure its just a matter of luck whether you catch each check-in at a good time!

Yeah they are one of the worst.

There was a report issued last year on flight companies with the worst delays, you can guess who were topping or near the top of the list? Yep TCD and Air Atlanta.

People do have bad flights with other companies, of course they do but no one seems to have as many problems as TCD/Air At.!
