Tcd And Air Atlanta

i think everyone wants their holiday to go well. this for some is a once a year thing or even once in a lifetime. its planned and orchestrated down to the tee. no one wants to be delayed for hours at a time when they are meant to be having fun. especially when there are children who will get bored, hungry, irritated, the list goes on. plus you spend alot of money on these things and expect value for it. or at least to get what you have paid for.

and there is the piont of the matter. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.
This country is so obsessed with getting everything as cheap as possible regardless of what it does to jobs or the local economy and then complain like heck when they have paid for a 1970 Ford Sierra and expect a 2005 Range Rover.
You DO get what you pay for. You go with a cheap small (in relative terms) airline, without backup planes, who have cut costs to the bone and when soimething goes wrong the backup isn't there.

I enjoy going to the viewing park at Manchester, in all the times going there I do not remember the TCD 743's getting away on time. :confused3

Just been reading all these posts with interest. Colleagues from work were scheduled to fly out of Glasgow a few weeks ago with TCD and were delayed 24 hours becuae of hurricande Dennis - that's ok. Neighbours of ours also flew with TCD and were due to return on Frday but were delayed in Orlando for over 27 hours - 7 hours apparently spent hanging around the airport.

We'd been thinking of using them for the 2007 trip - but think I can take them of the list now!

hi

it does seem oure scottish TCD travellers are worst hit for some reason.

anyone know why?

The punnctuality data for Glasgow-Sanford is (for 2003 and 2004, average delay in minutes):

2003 2004
Air Atlanta - 144
Brittannia 48 50
First Choice 84 47
My Travel 32 70
Thomas Cook 26 32

if something says you get working tellies on the back of your chairs then you expect working tellies on the back of your chairs (just for instance of course). i did with virgin and i would with tcd. if there are no tellies then thats false advertising. the people of this country have a raw deal with prices as it is. all bar norway and a few other countries we pay the highest prices for everything. im not tight and i dont always buy cheap (nor do i always buy the most expensive) but i expect it to do what it says on the box whether its 50p or 5k. as for a car, i know you only used it as a for intance but with private sales, that is a case of buyer beware. these travel companies are with regulating bodies for a reason. so they can be regulated and you have a comeback if your holiday goes **** up due to them. obvioulsy if you didnt like your holiday and your having a little strop on then its tough but if your holiday was ruined by dirty accom or delays or almighty cockups on there behalf then you have a legal right to complain.

i seem to be ranting again.

i have no reason to. i havent been done over by tcd or any other company.

im just bored cos dh is hogging the xbox with a 1 player game.

two things Lucy,
We have the highest prices because we have the highest salaries, for example, we are paid much more than an equivalent French person for the same job.
I think you will find with regards to the tellies, that I know Virgin do, and I would assume that TCD would, in the small print it does say that providing entertainment is not part of the T & Cs
But my point is that on 5p watch will not give you the same quality, standard as a £500 watch nor should you expect it to

its a bit like a death star ship @ obi :rotfl2: .it seems you may have seat back tvs if flying with tcd.however as per normal if its the dreaded air atlanta nothing is certain.

check with tcd im guess :wizard:
