Taylor Swift/Colbie Caillat Thread: Because They Deserve It!

Yeah...I kind of let the old Taylor Thread die, so I've decided to make a new one. WITH A NEW GIMMICK. This thread has all the Taylor Goodness of last time, but now it has COLBIE CAILLAT. It may seem random, but Colbie and Taylor are really good friends in real life, and they're two of my favourite singers. (Plus, if it was just one or the other, it'd die.)

So:

Taylor News:

Week of 1/5/09, Taylor reported that she was filming the White Horse video. No word on release though...HURRY.

Colbie News:

Week of 1/5/09, Colbie released the video with Jason Mraz, Lucky. It is the third single off of Jason's third (?) CD, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.

It has some guy from a teen soap opera...I forgot who it was. It'll be a good video, especially if it's anything like the video I've had playing in my head.

My vision is that she's riding on a beach, on a white horse. Her lover is falling close behind her, and by the end, she's gotten far from him. She then gets off of her horse and sings, "It's too late, to catche me now..."

I took a more literal turn to the video. It doesn't really go with the lyrics, "That was a small town, there in my rearview mirror disappearin' now." What was your vision?

Well, for the verse you just quoted, I imagined her driving away from the town, away from the guy. She drives off as the "it's too late...to catch me now" sounds.

I imagine it in black and white, to be honest.

Black and white could be good and effective. I was kind of expecting a sequel to Love Story, but since Justin Gaston isn't on the list of guest stars, I guess not.

Yep. I predict that she'll release Forever & Always or You Belong With Me to pop/AC radio. Breathe would be a nice choice as a country single, it's cleverly written, and the Colbie background vocals just make it all better.
