We are flying into John Wayne Airport & looking at getting a cab or shuttle to the airport. Just wondering if anyone has had any good or bad experiences with companies. We are just hoping for companies to avoid.

Thanks:)

We've done shuttles twice and taxis three times.

While the shuttle is less expensive, I love being able to grab our luggage, walk outside and immediately get into a taxi and 20 minutes later we are at Disneyland!

We picked up a taxi upon arrival and were at the hotel (Embassy Suites South) within 30 minutes. Hubby liked the idea of picking up luggage and walking out and grabbing a ride. Cab driver was not talkative which doesn't matter to Hubby and the fee was #45 with tip. Upon departure our hotel made arrangements for us. I don't know what company the driver was with but he was very courteous, friendly and arrived in a large, clean SUV. Once again our fee was $45 with tip.

We've done shuttle, taxi and rental car to DLR from airport.

After using a taxi, this is the one I prefer.

It's FAST, easy and for the size of my group less expensive than a shuttle.
We only get a rental car now if we have plans to visit other spots in the area.

We've only used Taxis from SNA(two different companies---one is Orange County Yellow Cab), and both have been fine. We would have no problem using either of them again!:)

One shuttle/car/limo service I have heard good things about in the last year or so is called DK Livery (although, online it appeared that the name was DK's Livery, and then maybe changed again?). I have never used them at all, but others have said they are really good.

I have used a service called Sav-on Shuttle several times and will be using them again before the year is over. They've always been punctual, friendly and professional.

Many people still prefer the well-known companies such as SuperShuttle and Karmel Shuttle.

I personally like taking a taxi, simply as it the cheaper alternative to hiring a private town car or other similiar transportation. During my trip to DL in Nov/13 I used taxi's in general 4 times (to and from airport, and Knotts), and never had any problems.

I have the Disneyland Express (Grayline) reserved for my trip for $35 roundtrip. It is just me, so it would be much more expensive to take a cab.

We just came back a few weeks ago and used a shuttle service for the first time. We used supershuttle. I highly recommend their service. We received a text while still on the plane saying the shuttle was waiting for us. We landed about 10 minutes late & it was sitting & waiting for us. We didn't have to wait while it picked up others either :-) it cost us about $40 for us (there were two of us) which I think is a reasonable cost. We used the coupon from here: http://anaheimoc.org/coupons. They also accept AAA discounts.

I just wanted to chime in to add an update since I just returned from DLR. I took the Disneyland Express (Gray Line) from SNA to the Desert Inn & Suites. The service itself was great for the price, but be aware that it's a little slow! It takes about an hour. My route included a couple of other hotels on Harbor, plus the 3 Disneyland hotels. It was the trips to the Disneyland hotels that really took up time.

we used Super Shuttle for DDD weekend (both to and from John Wayne). it was very convenient and quick.
