Taxi's or buses from Disney to Universal??

we were going to stay at the nick studio's while we went to universal. But on the way home I though of something what if we can take a cab or bus from disney to universal it might be cheaper than paying for a 2 day room at the hotel. Does anyone know if they have tax's and how much they would be?

We have always used a taxi for any trips off property. it's much faster and not that expensive.

However, one suggestion I would make is to research renting a car for that day. Might be cheaper than a taxi both ways, plus it would be much more convenient.

We've use Mears Transpportation in the past. I believe its roughly $20 per person round trip for a shuttle these days.

Might be cheaper, but I believe Universal charges for parking. I don't see how a rental car could possibly be more convenient than a taxi, between reserving the car, picking up the car, signing all the forms, having to get to/from the car rental place, having to return it in time, etc.

We paid 35 or 40, from the beach club to universal...can't remember exact amount as it was after MNSSHP around 1am.

Depending where in Disney, $35-$45 each way is about right for a taxi, barring traffic delays.

For $10-$20 more (RT), you can also charter an assortment of towncars and vans. Peruse the sticky thread at the top of the Transportation board for ideas.
