We'll be at Fort Wilderness for 2 weeks from 1 April, but we're not renting a car - most of the time we'll be using Disney transport, but we plan to go to Seaworld and the Florida Mall - how easy is it to get taxis to/from these places (there are 5 of us) and how expensive is it likely to be ? Is there any other way to get there ?

Florida Mall you would most definitely need to take a taxi. Just go to Reception Outpost (where you check in) and they will call a taxi for you. I would imagine at least $30 each direction as a minimum.

Seaworld is actually quite less expensive. Lynx bus service (Orlando's city bus service) has a bus that goes directly from Disney's Ticket and Transportation Center to SeaWorld and is only $1.50 per person each way.

Check out www.golynx.com for times.

To get to the TTC, take an interal bus to the Settlement, then proceed to the boat dock. Take a boat to the Contemporary, then the monorail to the TTC. Then follow the signs to "bus transportation" then go to bus stop 50.

From what I found, it looks like it leaves TTC every 1/2 hour at :18 and :48
from 7:18 am till 10:18 pm

It looks like it leaves the stop near SeaWorld every 1/2 hour at :09 and :39 starting at 6:39 am and ending at 9:39 pm

You can also get to the Disney outlet stores at Premium Outlet Mall and Prime Outlet mall by taking the I-Trolley from the Sea World Bus stop.To go north just wait for the trolly at the same bus stop, to go south cross the street.Check this web site out.

We went to both of them when we were there in Jan. IT was easy and its only $1.00 per ride or $3.00 for an all day pass. Children were free.

Thanks Pooh4Me ! That gives a good alternative for our shopping trip.

I've just realised we have booked the Luau at Seaworld, which finishes after the last bus back to TTC - I guess we are back to the expense of a Taxi :sad1:
