We are a party of 9. We do not have a rental car. We are depending on Disney transportation. If we decide we want a taxi, we obviously can't all fit in one. Are taxi vans readily available at places like Downtown Disney, Typhoon Lagoon, ect.? Or would we need to call for one? What is an average fare for a taxi ride from one end of Disney to the other? Are taxi vans much more?

I'm sorry to have to move your post, but it wasn't a Theme Park Attractions and Strategies thread the first time and it still isn't. ;) :)

I have not used it yet, but I have researched the taxi service (Mears Taxi) since we are a party of 5 with a double stroller so would need a taxi van. Anyway, from what I have read, a taxi van should be there within 10 min of you calling them (or you can call ahead to pre-arrange a meeting). I don't have the number (it is packed!!!) :cool1: but I am sure you can search for it or Google Mears Taxi. As per costs, the van is the same as a taxi and I have read the 'rule of thumb' is about $20 to get from one point to another at Disney.
