TAXI USF to MCO

On the last part of our trip we plan to stay at the Royal Pacific on site at Universal. Does anyone know how much a taxi will cost back to the airport. Also, can Taxi's be trusted in that area and how easy is it to get a taxi.

We rented a car for the Disney part of our trip, but I'm returning the car before we arrive at Universal. I don't want to pay the parking fees that come with staying at a loew's resort.

There's a taxi fare calculator in the "Popular Transportation Links" sticky, or you can just go to Mears' website, click the Taxi tab and get to the calculator on your own.
Yes, taxis can be trusted in that area - just be sure to take one that has a meter.
To get a taxi from Royal Pacific: walk out the front door. If there aren't any visible, go to the Bell Services counter and they'll call or wave one in for you.
To get a taxi from Universal Studios: Go through CityWalk to the 'hub' where the two garage hallways branch off; go down the escalator to your right; voila! Taxis galore!

Mears has the taxi stand at Royal Pacific. Step up to the Bell Stand, ask for a taxi and they will get you one. Normally Mears unless there are none on the stand. If not they will call you a Mears Taxi. Sometimes they might have an cab, not Mears, around looking for some extra ride. Insist on Mears and the meter which should run about $39.00 give or take a few.
