taxi to Universal Studios

Hope somebody can answer this for me. I will be staying at Port Orleans in October and plan to get a taxi to Universal Studios. Does anyone have any idea at how much the fare would be? Trying to decide if renting a car is cheaper than transportation to and from the airport plus the taxi fare to Universal Studios. Thanks for any help you can provide

I was recently quoted $30.00 taxi fare one-way from Beach Club Villas to Hard Rock Hotel via Yellow Taxi (part of Mears).

Mear's shuttle charges about $12 one way to go from WDW to Universal.

That's per person, so it kinda depends on how many are in your party.

I called Mears yesterday, they qouted $14 round-trip per person, you call 24 hours ahead to make reservations.

My mother and I used this for Sea World about 3 years ago, it worked out great!

We did the opposite in March. We took a taxi from Universal to Port Orleans and it was just under $30. It would have been about the same for the shuttle for the two of us so I opted for the personal service of a taxi.
