We are staying April 16-20, My flight out is at 3:25pm. I'm thinking of taking a Taxi back to Airport thinking this could give us a little more morning time to go eat breakfast and throw in a couple early fast passes before we leave. It's just me and DD14. Is this possible, I have a ADR for BOG at 8:55. Thinking back to back fast passes if it all works out. What time should we leave POP if we take Taxi to Airport? First time flyers here!

You need to leave Pop by 1:00 at the latest. I would be leaving by 12:45. That means leaving MK by about 11:45.

You would be smarter to check your luggage with RAC and bring your (small) carry on bags with you to the park - you can stick them in a locker. Then, leave MK about 12:30 and walk to the contemporary to get a cab

If all is well, its about a 30 minute drive. I agree with the previous poster about the timing (I might give myself 30 minutes more in the park, but ymmv). And I LOVE the idea of just grabbing the cab at the contemporary to save yourself another 45 minutes.

So for me, I'd leave the park at 1:00, get in the cab by 1:15, to MCO at 1:45. Plenty of time for a 3:25 departure.

:thanks:We really trying to pack light and use only carry on bag.. If we do end up with 1 suitcase, what does it mean when you say check it in at RAC? We normally drive but without hubby I didn't want to drive the 12/13 drive alone.. So this flying is a new adventure.

(dd14 rather have root canal then fly but she is sucking it up) :offtopic:

RAC stands for Resort Airline Check-in which is a complimentary service offered for WDW Resort guests, there will be a RAC desk at your resort where you can go in the morning to check your bags and retrieve your boarding pass, no need to go online or do anything at the airport. Here is a link with more info from the WDW site:

RAC is Resort airline check-in. It's exactly like checking your bags at the airport, only at your resort. You would just pay any baggage fees over the phone by calling Baggage Airline Guest Services at (407) 284-1231. Then you'l go to the RAC desk to check your luggage.

Keep in mind that you cannot take a rolling carry-on onto the bus, so if you have one, you'll need to check it if you want to take a cab from the Contemporary.

We have taken a taxi or Uber back to the airport a few times. Typically we have 7:00-8:00 departures.
We call for it 2 hours before departure. We've gotten through the airport with plenty of time to spare, including 2 days before Christmas
