If we want to do a tour that begins at the Chinese Mann theatre and we do not have a car would it be astronomical to taxi it from the DL area to the tour booth? Just wondering about cutting out the long hotel pickup shuttle.

Wow.... I can't imagine the cost. I'd either rent a car and enjoy the day (probably $50) or endure the shuttle. A taxi would probably be $100 (or more) round trip...

Okay well that rules that out. How bad of a drive would it be if we did have a car?

Not bad at all, (of course traffic could be irritating...buit it would be in a taxi, too). I'd go to mapquest and check it out. There are lots of cool places to visit along the path from Anaheim to Hollywood. Don't be intimidated by LA freeways. NO BIG DEAL.
