Has anyone ever taken a cab to the store from WDW? I was considering this. Any ideas on the cost? One more question,
Is the 30 min allowed at a grocery stop by the Tiffany Town car service enough time? It will be myself,dh,dd and ds (3 and 7).

I have taken a taxi from Boardwalk to Publix & back. I don't remember the cost, but I don't recall being especially shocked by the cost.

My wife & I were staying in one of the villas, so wanted to shop comprehensively for a 21 night stay (assuming 50% restaurant meals, 50% cooked ourselves). We arranged for the taxi to return after 1 hour. We had to rush. 1.5 hours would have been more comfortable.

I suppose it depends how much you are going to buy.

Disnee Dad Says...............................Thirty minutes is plenty of time for a regular 7 to 10 day trip, and you have a list so you know exactly what you want. We were done shopping in 10 minutes, the rest was waiting in line and getting checked out, still done in twenty minutes.

I'd think twice about a taxi, unless you are buying a ton of stuff.
Will run $30 minimum. You can rent a car for a few dollars more, do your groceries, hit some of the resorts, or play mini golf, try a nice off site restaurant, find a bargain outlet, etc. Pack all that stuff into an "off" day, and you can really get your monies worth.
And the resorts will bring you to the car place and "they" will bring you back to the resort when you return the car.
