taxi to Contemporary

HI, all-
Does anyone know if you can take a taxi from another resort to the Contemporary for no other reason than to be dropped off there and walk to MK? I seem to remember we did it once and the guy at the booth asked if we were guests or had a reservation. We had neither and he seemed to debate on whether or not we could be just dropped off to walk to MK. Is this not allowed?

We have done exactly that many times. We take taxis everywhere in the mornings, to other resorts and even to Epcot or DHS if we are staying at AKL. It has never been an issue. You could always just say you're dining at Contempo Cafe if you feel you need to say something but you absolutely do not need an ADR to go to a resort hotel.

We took uber from Boardwalk to Grand Floridian in December for this very reason - to take the monorail to MK. We just told security we were visiting GF and he let us through.

Thank you, both! The buses aren't our favorite-especially in the mornings, so we are planning on taxis during that time.

It's not a problem. the taxi can actually drop you off at the walkway to the MK - at least that is what we experienced. It was not a problem.
