Taxi to Breakfast - Call the night before?

We're staying at CSR and we have an ADR for 7:30am breakfast at the Poly.

Does anyone know the process for getting a taxi in the morning? Can you call the night before or do you need to call the morning of? (Also, is it better to ask the resort desk to call? Better response?)

I would take the character bus...we've never needed a taxi for early character meals. A character bus runs from each resort to each park and resort that has early character meals.

Thanks! So this Character Bus also runs resort-to-resort? (Are these the only resort-to-resort buses?) Or do these buses only run to the parks? Also, do you know what time they start running?

When we were at WL a couple of years ago I specifically asked about it at the front desk and they were clueless.

I then asked one of the bus drivers and they gave me all the info I needed!

I know that the bus goes to the parks (we didn't need it to another resort) but if you get on the character bus and tell the driver you need to go to the Poly...I'm sure he/she can make it happen!

First, don't bother asking the front desk about the early morning buses. As a previous poster noted, they are totally clueless.

Early buses to the MK begin around 6:15am to 6:30am daily. As someone noted, if you tell the driver you are going to the Poly he/she may drop you off there. If not you can hop on the monorail from the MK entrance.

Please keep in mind these buses don't run often so allow at least one hour, probably a little more.

As far as taxis, they are normally waiting outside the resorts. If one is not available the Cast Member working the outside podium can get one for you right away.

For that early of an ADR at a resort I would not count on Disney transportation. There is always a chance that the bus driver will not stop at the Poly for you. If you were going to a park I would go ahead and use the bus.
Go to the main building at the CSR and someone from luggage services to call a cab for you.
