Taxi to a grocery store

We (Me, DH, 6 kids and a friend) are staying at All Star Sports for 10 days in late Feb. We are taking the ME from the airport to our resort. I want to get some groceries from a store and was wondering if anyone has taken a Taxi to get groceries. I know I can order groceries from Garden Grocer, for example, but I prefer store brand (cheeper) and want to pick out my own stuff. I looked into renting a car for one day, but that just doesn't make sense (I don't think?)

So:
Have you taken a taxi to the store?
How much aprox will it be?
What store do you go to?

Since you are staying for so long at All Star sports do you plan to go to Universal? If so, you can rent a car at the Dolphin hotel for one day and do your shopping and Universal all at once. Will your room have a fridge?

Check into WeGoShop. It sounds like they will go to the store of your choice and get the brands you want, then they even give you a receipt so you know you are paying what they paid. And I think it's just a $17 or $18 dollar fee, which is less than a taxi from what I understand! Hope that helps!

I agree. They'll also clip and use coupons to get you the best price.

Yes, we will have a fridge. No, we are not going to Universal. Can you rent and return a car at the Dolphin? What kind of car rental is it (Avis, Dollar,..)?

We were at OKW last May..........I took a yellow cab to Publix..I told the cabbie to come back in a hour...he was right on time!.the whole trip was about 2 hours.

......$17.00 each way......$3.00 tip, so $40.00 all together.





Next time I may use Green Grocer, but I am sure the cab was alot more!
