HAS ANYONE EVER USED A TAXI BETWEEN WDW RESORT TO UNIVERSAL? ANYONE HAVE AN APPROXIMATION ON THE FARE? WE ARE 2 ADULTS 12 YR AND A 4 YR, LOOKING FOR THE EASIEST AND MOST RELAXED WAY TO TRAVEL.:goodvibes WE WILL BE IN THE WORLD END OF AUGUST:cool1:
THANKS EVERYONE:surfweb:

About $40 or so each way, plus tip... depending on traffic. More traffic (e.g. road construction, accident, catching all the traffic lights the wrong way) equals higher fare.

Better option would be a town car service. They have a flat rate for round trip transportation for up to four people, or can provide a larger vehicle at a higher rate.

We used a towncar service. It was about $60 plus tip, roundtrip for 4 of us. It was very nice...much nicer than a cab ride.

To tell you the truth the best deal is the taxi. Here is why. Take a taxi to Uiversal and get dropped off. Whenever you are ready in the next 8 -10 hours to leave Universal you walk to the taxi stand and get put in a taxi back. No problem. With a car service you have to set up a time for the car service to return to pick you up. Suppose you want to leave earlier or later. You have to call, about an hour earlier, the car service and hope he has the time to pick you up. A taxi is usually cheaper in this case, but there are some independent services that will do it for taxi or slightly better prices. Both at Universal and Disney you pick up the Mears taxi at the taxi stand.
