Can anyone tell me if the taxi's are the same as in New York? In NY small children are not required to be in a car seat. We will need to use a cab service one day while at Disney and are not traveling with a car seat.

In my experience with Taxi's in WDW, no child car seats are needed. Welcome to the DIS and have a great time!

Florida law does not exempt taxis. Children under 4 years old need to have a car seat, 4 and up can sit with just a seat belt.

I'd let the taxi service know that you needed a car seat; quite a few on DIsney property carry them, according to reports on the board.

We've been able to get cabs with car seats several times when we needed them. The valet (or guest services at a mod or value) will call a cab and request one with a car seat if you need them to.

WE are renting a towncar as another DIS'er suggested. They provide the carseats free and it's super easy to book them. I booked and paid online yesterday for our July trip :)

The prices are about the same a regular taxi. HTH :)
