I need to know taxi or shuttle rates or what everyone uses to go from the airport to disneyland and back?

I need the rate from long beach airport to disneyland

And I need the rate from disneyland to san ana airport

I can tell you from SNA its about 45bucks one way......plus 3 dollar tip. I have always thought its easier to do a cab they have vans if you have a larger family at the airport and its right when you come out of baggage claim... Hope that helps

You might check Supershuttle.com. :surfweb:It was $41.00 (each way plus tip) from Ontario airport a few yrs ago.

There is just 3 of us do I need to make arrangements with the cab or just jump in one that is there ?

Also what about a car seat I dont really want to drag it she is 4?

From hotel to SNA I would do SuperShuttle for 3 people. Use this code UYR59 and you will get $3 off per person (usual rate is $10 per person) so for 3 people it would only cost you $21 plus tip. You have to prepay online for that discount but you can take care of the tip and everything before you go, which is nice IMO. One small caveat: You have to enter each person as a separate reservation in order to get the full discount. Otherwise you'll get a group discount of $3/party instead of per person. It says right on their website you're supposed to get $3 off pp so it's not being sneaky to do it that way. It's easy to do, though, because the info is saved after the first person's reservation so all you have to do is go back and change the name a couple of times to get the others in your party reserved as well. You'll all ride together, so don't worry about that.

One other note about making a SS reservation. On the page where it asks for Zip Code or Hotel/Landmark, be sure to click the Hotel/Landmark box (it will then give you a list of hotels and you click on yours). DON'T put in a zip code or you'll get a MUCH higher fare. I guess residents pay a lot more than hotel guests. They will give you a time for your return with a 15-minute window for them. They've always been prompt for us and they allow you plenty of time to get to the airport. If you don't want to arrive at the airport as early as they give as an option, tell them a slightly later flight time and you'll get a later departure window from your hotel.

A taxi will run you about $48 plus tip from the hotel to SNA, so you'd save a fair amount with the shuttle. You don't need a carseat with SS. Not sure about the taxi.

We sometimes use taxis but generally go with SS because hey, I can use that extra money for a couple of nice cocktails in the Hearth Lounge at GCH :thumbsup2. Er, I mean I can buy the kids some Mouse Ears :rolleyes1

This is what I have found.
-Taxi fare to SNA/John Wayne Airport from DL hotel around $40.
Long Beach about $60.

-Super Shuttle supershuttle.com (800) 258-3826 has this special (Not sure when you are going though or how many people. It says you need to bring a car seat if you are taveling with young children.)
Now thru September 15th take SuperShuttle and additional
passengers ride for just $5. Limited to 6 additional passengers.
Plus earn 100 Miles each way with any of our airline partner
programs Delta Air Lines SkyMiles® ,Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns® Northwest Airlines WorldPerks® ,United Airlines Mileage Plus®,US Airways Dividend Miles®

-Prime Time or red vans 1 800-733-8267 Primetimeshuttle.com
They have a special kids under 12 ride for free. SNA rate was $48 round trip and $94 for Long Beach.

Sorry this is so long I hope it helps. Do you mind if I ask how much you found tickets for? I just booked my family's 1st DL trip for Oct. I paid $141 per person flying into LAX from SLC. I hope that's a good deal and I didn't jump the gun. Best of luck. :cheer2:

Super Shuttle said you had to bring a car seat? You say they will provide it does it cost extra? With the promotion I mentioned with the 2nd person for $5 you have to book them all on the same reservation.

Oh, that's a good deal for SS!

When we've taken taxis from our hotel to the airport (GCH and DLH), the cost has been $48 each time, on the meter. They won't give (or wouldn't give us) a flat rate from the hotel to the airport, but you can get one from SNA to the hotel and that's $45. I don't know what it is from LGB.

Are you saying they told you you had to bring one? We did not have to, but my girls are now 6 and 9. We started taking all of them when they were 4 and never brought a carseat. And no, they didn't provide one; we just didn't use one. If it makes you nervous not to have one, then you would have to bring your own.

The promotion sounds easier since you can book everyone on the same reservation!

This is what they say the the web site.
"If you are traveling with children we strongly recommend the use of child safety seats. If federal, state or local laws require your child(ren) to be secured in a child safety seat, please bring one. If a child seat is required and not provided by you, we may not be able to provide service."

Yes, that is their official policy, but the laws are so murky in CA regarding carseats in public transportation that no one really knows how to interpret them. I can tell you from much personal experience that no one at SS has ever even mentioned it to us, though both older dd and her twin sisters were 4 1/2 when they first went and were fairly large girls. If I'd taken younger (under 4) or very small children, I would have brought seats. It's one of the reasons we opted to wait until the girls were older before bringing them to DL. We did not want to deal with strollers or carseats.

If that is tax and everything 141.00 is a great deal.

We most of the time fly jet blue into long beach fares we get are 69 each way with tax and everything comes to 157.00.

This time we book jet blue to get there fares were 60 bucks each way and I had a credit for 69 bucks.

For the way home southwest just had there 60 each way sale so we are going to fly out of san ana.

With the credit and the 60 bucks each way we paid tax and everything 128.00 per ticket round trip.

DizMe our daughter will be 4 in a half by the time we go in oct so you think we will be fine with no car seat?

The price of a rental car from one airport and drop off at another airport is crazy money like 400 bucks for 5 days no thanks.

I have priced this out long beach is strange it is 35 bucks first person 5 bucks for others in your party but sna is 10 bucks per person.

Pricing it out with everything

lgb for 3 of us comes to 50.10
sna for 3 of us is 26.40

Anyone tell me why lgb is so much more its not that much further is it ?

Yes, you'll be fine without a car seat. If you use PhatKat's SuperShuttle deal (first person $10, everyone else $5) it would only cost you $20 back to SNA, plus tip.

I don't know why lgb is so much more--that has often been asked. I guess it just isn't used as much and has fewer fares on the shuttles. The taxi cost is about the same, I've heard.

One other option I forgot to mention is the Disneyland Express. It's a bus so no worries about car seats. It leaves every 1/2 hour I think but I've never used it so I'm not familiar with all the details and I'm not sure about the cost. I think it's close to the shuttle price but I'm not sure.

ETA: I don't think the DL Express runs from lgb but I'm not sure. It is an option for the return to SNA, though.
