Taxi or Uber? Tip?

When not using Disney buses, do you prefer taxi or uber? I've never tried Uber before. I know you don't have to tip, but do you?

I used Uber a few times on my trip a few weeks ago. I tend to use them more and more whenever I travel. You are not obligated to tip Uber. I will if the driver makes the drive an enjoyable experience. (i.e. talking, clean, etc.)

Consider that Uber drivers make substantially less per trip than do taxi drivers. Although most riders in this area don't tip, cash tips are always appreciated.

We used Uber a few times on our last trip and I was very pleased. The cars were so clean and the drivers so friendly! We made sure to have cash on hand and tipped all of our drivers.

We use Lyft. You never have to tip anywhere, at any time. I mean, they aren't required or anything. But, I can't imagine going to eat a meal and not tipping. Same for having a driver. I use Lyft because it allows me to tip via the app. I don't regularly have cash on me so I quit using Uber when it became a PITA to worry about cash all the time

When using Uber, I always have cash available to tip. And I have always tipped.

Yes you should tip the drivers

We are locals and use Uber (Uber XL) all the time we like to enjoy dinner at Epcot or over on I-Drive meeting up with friends and want to enjoy some adult beverages to go along with dinner, and when we travel... we have found the drivers to be really friendly and polite... the cars to be clean, we have been offer bottled water, and even asked if we needed to charge up our phones. We used Uber in NYC and loved it, some of the drivers where so funny, and gave a lot of history and low down on what to do, where to go, and where not to go.

I wish the Uber powers to be would get off their high horse and just include a tip option in the app. I know their reasons but I think they are lame and unfounded. It's cost them my business. Not that we use it enough to make or break anything
