taxi or towncar rom John wayne to DL

Last time I was at Dl, I think I spent $30 on the taxi from John Wayne airport to Dl.

I am trying to decide if we should do the taxi or towncar ($55)? Any thoughts?

Don't want to do the shuttle because we are arriving at 9:30pm on friday night and taking off at 11:00am on sunday - I want as much time as possible around DL.

I had the same question and found that during the days I am there I can rent a standard size car from Thrifty for 16.99 a day! Pick up is at the airport, no shuttle off site!
