Taxi or town car

Hello all, this is my first post. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks.

Basically, what I need to know is what is the best option for my mom and me - taxi or town car? We're staying at OKW 11/4-11/9 and plan on using Disney transportation to get everywhere.

I need to know what's the approximate cost for a trip from Orlando Int'l to OKW via taxi. I'm leaning towards this option, but my mom likes the free grocery store stop from the town car service. I think we could buy some stuff before we leave home and carry it with us or ship it overnight to the hotel.

Are there any big economic advantages to taking a taxi over a town car or even renting a car if we could find an unbelievable deal?

Thank you much,
Jamie

We have done both (we normally use Happy Limo but did a taxi once when we did a last-minute trip change). I don't remember the price of the cab, but it was definitely more than the towncar! I also prefer towncars because you know you will get a nice vehicle...not that the cabs are bad, but I guess it's just a mental thing with me! And some of the cab drivers can be unscrupulous and take you a longer way to rack up the fare if you don't know any better. You can rack up quite a bill sitting in I-4 traffic. If you go with a cab, insist that they take 417. The speed makes up for the tolls.
