Taxi or shuttle from Long Beach Airport

In the past, we have always taken a taxi, rented a car or limo. This trip will just be my husband and I instead of our typical family of four. I'm wondering if it would be cheaper to take a shuttle. I see there are a lot of options out there.

So my question is: Is it cheaper to take a shuttle since it's just two of us or should I just go ahead with the taxi. And if shuttle, which one is the best or most recommended?

I haven't checked lately, but it used to be that the cost was as much or more to take the shuttle. If the price is close, I'd go with a taxi for sure.

Taxi--they have a flat rate that is just as cheap as a shuttle, and there are generally tons of taxis there.

Looks like things haven't changed. I had done research years ago. I thought maybe with just the two of us it might be cheaper. I will just keep doing what we have been doing. Besides, it's super easy and quick. Thanks for the input!

Does anyone have an updated taxi rate from Long Beach airport to Disneyland and back? Has anyone used Uber? I'm helping a friend plan and I usually fly in to John Wayne. Thanks!

And I beleive to go from Long Beach TO Disneyland ia flate rate of $45 (it costs more from Disneyland to Long Beach airport because it originates in a different county.

I believe I read that Uber (or maybe just UberX) is not allowed there.

Thank you Geemo! Where did you pick up the coupon?
And thank you too, amyg1975. So Uber is not allowed at the Long Beach airport?
I asked for one at the PPH bell service desk. I have gotten them from bell services at the other two hotels on past trips. The color may vary, I've had them in light yellow and a dark yellow too.

Hello - since my original post we have had many trips. If we are not renting a car, we usually catch a taxi right outside the airport for $45. Last two trips we have done Uber on the return trip back to the airport. I believe it was about $37. That was without any tip. It was a morning flight. We left our condo about 8:00 a.m.

Before we did Uber, the return taxi was $55 if I remember right. This is always from Long Beach, BTW. Uber is not allowed for pick up at LB airport.

While Uber are not allowed to pick up, LGB is a very small airport, and it's a short walk (about a block) to the "cell phone lot", where you could easily meet an Uber driver. Estimates for uberX: $19-26 and uberXL: $34-46.

I actually knew that this could be done, but I was too chicken to try it to be honest. :-) Maybe we will when we go down in November.
