Taxi from SNA to Tropicana

This will be our first time flying into John Wayne Airport. My daughter, her 20 month old, and I are planning on getting a taxi to travel to Tropicana motel in June. We arrive around 2:00 in the afternoon on a Saturday. Can anyone give us info on the time we should arrive at our motel?

We used Uber from SNA to the Tropicana on Sunday, January 3, 2016. I just looked up the receipt and it shows that we were picked up at the airport at 6:20pm and arrived at the Tropicana at 6:47pm. It took us a little longer than it should have because our driver missed the turn into the Tropicana and had to go down and turn around and there was some traffic.

Also, it seemed to take forever to get our one checked bag. Almost everyone on our flight had theirs and me and one other person had to go ask about ours. They finally showed up on the other carousel. Our flight had arrived around 5:35 or 5:40pm. I hope this helps!
